Lani Bushnell
Positive people skills, advanced technical ability, artistry and a great attitude led to Lani Bushnell’s rising career as hair-stylist-to-the-Australian-stars in her early twenties. Two decades after her life journey took an unexpected turn toward the United States, this sun-fun and ocean-loving Sydney-native continues to make Sonoma County, Northern California home-base for her unique approach to hair and beauty.
With each brushstroke, color treatment and precise scissor angle, Lani redefines the global artistry of today’s elevated cut, color and hair styling services, thanks to the loyalty and support of an exceptional, local A-List clientele.
Encouraging all around her to live their best lives, Lani established High Society Salon and Boutique, her fourth, unique signature salon, in the heart of historic downtown Petaluma in 2021. The natural beauty of the coastal California region inspires this passionate, innovative and wholehearted salon owner to train and mentor a stable of new, successful, cutting-edge women-stylists who work alongside her in her warm and inviting salon.
Great listening skills, experience, grace and confidence combine, refining an elevated skillset designed to renew and revive each and every hair aficionado who sits in her chair. A seasoned professional, Lani thrives and excels amidst the casual, small city vibe of the Petaluma valley, maintaining a grounding, peaceful balance in her work and active family life.
Lani is a firm believer that healthy hair is the most beautiful hair and she prides herself on strategizing with new clients on the least damaging fix first. She has extensive knowledge in working with the world’s best hair product companies and brings fresh and original cuts, styling and color with strong attention to detail to the next level in Sonoma County.

Kelly Mallery
Kelly Mallery began her career in 2012 in the vibrant city of Orange County, California. It was there that she embarked on her journey in the world of cosmetology. She honed her skills in Sassoon cutting, setting the foundation for a successful career in hairstyling.
During that time in school, she achieved a remarkable feat by winning first place in the field of Cosmetology, not once, but twice, showcasing her unwavering commitment to excellence.
In 2015, Kelly took on a new challenge when she started educating for COLOR.ME by KEVIN MURPHY, an exciting opportunity that lasted until 2019. Her dedication and expertise allowed her to educate and inspire others in North America, contributing to the growth of this renowned brand.
Kelly’s specialty lies in custom color, masterful color corrections, the art of hair extensions, and the precision of cutting. With these skills, she has the privilege of transforming her clients, helping them look and feel their absolute best.
But her journey in the beauty industry is more than just a profession, it’s a passion. Kelly entered the field because she wanted to play a part in making people look and feel their best. Kelly thrives on the connections she makes with her clients, assisting them in crafting their unique style.
In her leisure time, Kelly leads a fulfilling life outside of the salon. She enjoys Pilates sessions to keep her body and mind in harmony. Kelly also has a love for off-roading in her trusty Jeep, cherishing the adventures it brings, often in the company of her loving husband. Kelly’s curiosity about the world is not limited to the art of hair styling. She is an avid traveler, and a passionate learner about different cultures, finding inspiration in the diversity of our world.

Ashley Lowman
Ashley has been a professional stylist for over 14 years but her passion started when she was cutting friends hair in her mothers bathroom. Ashley has worked in high end salons in Marin County and Petaluma providing clients with a special attention to detail for their needs. Ashley is well known for her scalp and shoulder massages so please remind her you need some extra care. While she prefers cutting to hair coloring she is gifted in giving clients a long lasting blended/lived in look that lasts months and saves clients time and money. Her cutting skills are beyond your expectations as her eye sees what your hair needs to look and feel its best. Ashley only uses the best in organic luxury color O&M Australia. Lauran Colvin
Born and raised in the Bay Area, Lauran started her career twenty years ago at Yosh For Hair/Gina Ghan Salon, as a color specialist. After a few years, she moved to San Francisco’s Financial District where she continued to refine her craft. With extensive training in the industry, working at various salons in the Bay Area, Lauran found her forever home at High Society Salon & Boutique. Her services include cutting, natural and creative color, updos and extensions.

Patricia Barros
Patricia Barros was born and raised in Northern California and began training in the Petaluma beauty industry from a young age. Patricia has always had a deep passion for hair and make up and would practice in high school doing her friends hair and make up for school dances and special occasions. Patricia moved to San Diego California in 2004. In her 20s she began doing wedding hair and make up and special occasions by word of mouth and self advertisement. By 2015 Patricia was able to attend beauty school in San Diego and decided to get her cosmetology license. She always has believed that being well rounded in the beauty industry set intentions for big opportunities. Patricia graduated beauty school in 2016 at the top of her class also placing third in the special effects makeup and hair competition in Burbank California.
By networking and meeting amazing people along the way, Patricia gained experiences and opportunities working on set with pinup styles, vintage looks, and special guest hair and make up for San Diego news team. This was a peak in Patricia‘s make up and style business which holds a major part of her passion for this industry. Following beauty school, Patricia excelled her training diving into cut and color formulation. Patricia was a right hand assistant for a 20 year experienced Schwarzkopf color ambassador and educator. This is when Patricia learned her love and confidence and blonding and taylor customized color formulation made specific for each client, while still continuing special occasions hair and make up on the side. Through her time as being an assistant, Patricia was also establishing her clientele in San Diego, specializing in highlights, foil technique And saturation, precise cuts, (men and woman) texturizing techniques, balayage, fun flash colors and certifying in tape in extensions.
The biggest part that Patricia loves in this industry is that you can meet some of the most amazing people. “ i’ve had the pleasure of so many wonderful people sitting in my chair and the impact we’ve had on each other is priceless.” There is nothing I love more than making someone feel beautiful. This industry is forever growing and changing. There’s always room for growth, new trends to learn and opportunities to take a risk and express yourself through creativity while always taking into mind the clients needs, desires, and safety of their hair. There’s nothing better than a smile on the face as they walk out the door and my eye catching a glimpse of the sun shining down on their beautiful crown knowing that I was a part of that beauty. Patricia has been back in Petaluma since 2018 as she and her husband wanted a more “simple” life raising their 3 daughters all while re establishing herself in this business and growing her clientele base.

Trish Walters
Trish has been on a quest to follow and develop her true passions: connecting with people, living IN the moment, and artistic expression. From growing up on a small horse ranch and years of piano and French horn lessons to art classes at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco, to traveling abroad for several years as a professional athlete, to the wine and food industry she came to find her career in Mill Valley as a hairstylist. She started her extensive education and invaluable experience at DiPietro Todd Salon. She then left to open Miller and Mane Salon in Marin and Salt & Honey Salon in Petaluma but recently realized she is ready to have more time for hobbies and life outside of salon ownership.
Trish will split her time between SALON 171 In Mill Valley (where she has been for the last few years ) and recently joined, the incredible team at HIGH SOCIETY SALON & BOUTIQUE in Petaluma.
“I have found my new home in Petaluma with this incredibly talented group of strong passionate women and I couldn’t be happier”.
Her variety of life and career experiences have gifted her with a vibrant, friendly personality, and her favorite part of the job is connecting with people and making someone else’s day. While keeping up with current trends in fashion and hair she is known for her authenticity, truly listening to her clients’ needs, bringing an edgy urban flair to the environment and having a broad spectrum of clientele. Trish loves it all – creative edgy shortcuts, long sexy layers, the textural beauty of curly hair and men’s barbering.

Aliyah Blanco
I am Aliyah Blanco and I’m a third generation Cosmetologist. I’m passionate about multicultural hair and it is my goal to specialize in hair treatments as well as precision cutting and styling. I’m currently working towards that goal while studying under Owner Lani Bushnell in the Vidal Sassoon method.
I love helping others feel the most beautiful version of themselves. I endeavor to create a calm and relaxed atmosphere for all my guests. I’m here to complete your vision.
