Positive people skills, advanced technical ability, artistry and a great attitude led to Lani Bushnell’s rising career as hair-stylist-to-the-Australian-stars in her early twenties. Two decades after her life journey took an unexpected turn toward the United States, this sun-fun and ocean-loving Sydney-native continues to make Sonoma County, Northern California home-base for her unique approach to hair and beauty.  

With each brushstroke, color treatment and precise scissor angle, Lani redefines the global artistry of today’s elevated cut, color and hair styling services, thanks to the loyalty and support of an exceptional, local A-List clientele.

Encouraging all around her to live their best lives, Lani established High Society Salon and Boutique, her fourth, unique signature salon, in the heart of historic downtown Petaluma in 2021. The natural beauty of the coastal California region inspires this passionate, innovative and wholehearted salon owner to train and mentor a stable of new, successful, cutting-edge women-stylists who work alongside her in her warm and inviting salon.

A seasoned professional, Lani thrives and excels amidst the casual, small city vibe of the Petaluma valley, maintaining a grounding, peaceful balance in her work and active family life.

Lani is a firm believer that healthy hair is the most beautiful hair and she prides herself on strategizing with new clients on the least damaging fix first. She has extensive knowledge in working with the world’s best hair product companies and brings fresh and original cuts, styling and color with strong attention to detail to the next level in Sonoma County.

Aliyah Blanco, Stylist

Aliyah Blanco began her career in 2022 at High Society Salon. She is passionate about helping clients of all hair types but especially those with curly hair.

Her goal is to help every client achieve the healthiest hair possible while embracing their aesthetic vision. Aliyah also offers haircuts that can be worn both straight and curly, giving curly clients the option to transition effortlessly between looks while maintaining the integrity of their hair. She’s happy to give you your dream look through texture services, colors, and both men’s and women’s cuts.

Kelly Mallery, Stylist & Color Specialist

Kelly began her career in 2012 in Orange County, CA. There, she embarked on her journey in the world of cosmetology, honing her skills in Sassoon cutting and setting the foundation for a successful career in hairstyling. During her time in school, she achieved a remarkable feat by winning 1st place in the field of Cosmetology not once but twice, showcasing her unwavering commitment to excellence.

Her specialization lies in custom color, masterful color corrections, the art of hair extensions, and the precision of cutting. With these skills, she has the privilege of transforming her clients, helping them look and feel their absolute best.

But her journey in the beauty industry is more than just a profession; it’s a passion. She entered this field because she wanted to play a part in making people feel and look their best. She thrives on the connections she makes with her clients, assisting them in crafting their unique style.

Lauran Colvin, Stylist & Color Specialist

Born and raised in the Bay Area, Lauran started her career twenty years ago at Yosh For Hair/Gina Ghan Salon, as a color specialist. After a few years, she moved to San Francisco’s Financial District where she continued to refine her craft. 

With extensive training in the industry, working at various salons in the Bay Area, Lauran found her forever home at High Society Salon & Boutique.

Her services include cutting, natural and creative color, updos and extensions.

Haeley Hughes, Stylist

Haeley is a passionate hairstylist with a specialty for making people feel their absolute best. You can always find her listening to country music. Haeley brings a warm and friendly vibe to every appointment.

When not behind the chair, she enjoys the outdoors, whether it’s hitting the slopes for some snowboarding, running, or spending quality time with her dogs.

For Haeley, styling hair isn’t just about creating a look—it’s about boosting confidence and ensuring every client leaves with a smile.

Ashley Lowman, Stylist

Ashley has been a professional stylist for over 14 years but her passion started when she was cutting friends hair in her mothers bathroom. Ashley has worked in high end salons in Marin County and Petaluma providing clients with a special attention to detail for their needs. Ashley is well known for her scalp and shoulder massages so please remind her you need some extra care.

While she prefers cutting to hair coloring she is gifted in giving clients a long lasting blended/lived in look that lasts months and saves clients time and money. Her cutting skills are beyond your expectations as her eye sees what your hair needs to look and feel its best.

Brittney Tomrose, Stylist

Patricia Barros, Stylist, Colorist, & Make Up Artist

Raised in Northern California, Patricia Barros started her beauty training in Petaluma, focusing on hair and makeup during high school. After moving to San Diego in 2004, she built a reputation in wedding styling and special event makeup through networking and self-promotion. By 2015, she pursued a cosmetology license, graduating top of her class from beauty school in 2016 and placing third in a Burbank special effects competition.

In San Diego, Patricia worked with vintage styles and TV guest makeup, deepening her skills in cut and color as an assistant to a seasoned Schwarzkopf color expert. She specialized in highlights, precise cuts, and custom color formulations, while continuing her event styling on the side.

Returning to Petaluma in 2018 for a simpler life with her husband and three daughters, Patricia continues to grow her clientele and thrive in the beauty industry.

Shelby Siplyak, Stylist

Shelby began her journey in the world of hairstyling at the age of 19 in San Diego, quickly discovering a deep passion for helping people feel like their best selves. With a focus on creating confidence and radiance, Shelby specializes in highlighting and blonde hair, areas where she feels she can truly enhance her clients’ natural beauty. But it’s not just about the hair. What drives Shelby most is the opportunity to build meaningful connections with her clients, making them feel heard, understood, and beautiful.

Whether she’s perfecting a color or simply sharing a laugh, Shelby takes great pride in making each person who sits in her chair feel good about themselves. Her dedication to her craft is matched by her commitment to creating an experience that’s as enjoyable as it is transformative. Outside of the salon, Shelby finds balance by spending quality time with her friends and family. She loves to explore the outdoors, often hiking and spending time at the beach, where she finds inspiration and relaxation.

Niki Filippi, Stylist

Niki Filippi is an experienced stylist and colorist with over two decades of experience working in prestigious salons across San Francisco, New York City, and Marin County. She specializes in multidimensional blondes, rich brunettes, and precsiion hair cutting, creating looks that feel both modern and timeless.

Inspired by fashion, art, and the elegance of historical beauty, Niki believes that true style comes from fiding the simple beauty in everyday life.Her goal is to create a personalized look that enhances each client’s natural features while reflecting their individual style.
